Inspired by Mies Van Der Rohe’s iconic Barcelona chair, Sangare set out to craft their own rendition with comparable proportions. Utilizing a crimped wire brush finish, traditionally employed for rust removal, they transformed it into an aesthetic technique, yielding a neo-brutalist outcome.

The Rounded Edges Chair blends Neo-Industrial and radical minimalism. Crafted from three folded aluminum plates joined seamlessly by rivets, it offers a sleek silhouette.

Stack, a playful family of stackable furniture designed by Ghent architects studio MOTO, uses a limited number of aluminium components to create cabinets, shelves, totems, and coffee tables. This minimalist system clicks together, requiring no screws or other mechanical fastenings. The result is an extremely simple yet versatile, durable, and flexible furniture system that offers countless combinations and possibilities, suitable for home interiors, offices, shops, and other environments.

“Chair T-003” is part of the ongoing series, “Wax on – Wax off,” a collection of experiments on lost-wax casting and wax-dipping processes. A self-made machine called TONK, which is based on the old technique of candle dipping, performs the wax dipping. The creators designed TONK to explore shapes and forms through a new medium. Combining TONK with the lost-wax casting technique produces a unique piece every single time. This aluminum chair brings a radical edge to any space.

Lille Split Chair is part of “ALUCUTS” (2021 – 2023) furniture series, showcasing simple yet sturdy bolted assemblies of 12mm squared cuts of aluminium plates.

The “Pressure Stool” and “Pressure Bench” are made of an aluminium sheet into which a pattern is pressed. On one hand, the material is hardened. On the other hand, the normally cold and stiff aluminium takes on an unexpectedly soft and pleasant appearance. This technique makes it possible to produce lightweight seating furniture from aluminium only 2mm thick.

The Taru Dining Table showcases individual stones and minerals meticulously assembled to form a terrazzo tabletop, complemented by four sand-cast, massive aluminum legs. This unique piece has been entirely hand-crafted by the designers. Marble, citrine, jasper and moon stones were carefully arranged into an alluring composition. The smooth finish of the tabletop’s edges brings to mind stones naturally shaped by a river’s flow.
