In 2008, designers Carolina Armellini and Paulo Biacchi created the Fetiche Design Studio seeking to gain total autonomy in the development of their pieces, creating with freedom the collections of their studio's homonym brand, FETICHE®. The concept of fetish is intrinsic to the products that Armellini and Biacchi develop, and they utilize its dictionary definition to inspire them in their work.

"Fetish: Animate or inanimate object, made by man or produced by nature, which is attributed to supernatural power and worships."

Throughout their work, they seek to invest their products with references and meanings beyond just the formal and the functional, attaining some level of supernatural or otherworldly resonance.
