The Synthesis Lamp is the result of a study into ropes and the fascination for the different connotations the material evokes; restricting and securing, fetishised and practical, folkloric and banal. The shape displays the several degrees of interconnectedness; loose ends come together into one rope, the repetitive act of connecting the ropes creates a whole interwoven with complexity.
