This meticulously crafted lighting piece is birthed from an artfully repurposed chopping board, residual stone fragments, and an elegant black marble lightbulb socket. Imbued with character, I’ve skillfully charred the wood using the Yakisugi technique and hand-carved an intricate tray onto its surface. Its polished finish, achieved solely with natural oils and beeswax, showcases the beauty of the raw materials. A delicate cork lining at its base ensures your furniture remains untouched by marks or scratches.

This piece is a proud embodiment of the ‘Raw Collection’. Born from the unsettling reality of today’s raw material scarcity, this collection endeavors to shed light on the unsustainable ethos of contemporary production—chiefly, our proclivity for freshly mined substances and the unchecked extraction from nature. Such practices, while detrimental to our environment, also accelerate the depletion of Earth’s cherished resources. The clarion call is clear: we must pivot towards repurposing existing materials and lessen our dependency on virgin resources.
