For these wall mirrors by Berlin-based designer, Elisa Strozyk, merges ceramic-surfaces with functional surfaces. Two circular shapes overlap and the contrasting materials are set in dialogue.
Each mirror-object is produced with a unique pattern.
Liquid glazes pool and mix together under the influence of rotation and blown air to leave traces of fluid movement and smoke-like patterns which are solidified in the heat of the kiln. The finished surfaces show traces of gravity as colours flow and collide.
