    Description

    Unique piece fully handcrafted in white stoneware. The surface is slightly textured with chamotte (calcined clay powder). Natural white stoneware color.
    With this sculptural lamp my aim was to make a form which could be both aesthetic and functional. The lamp could be displayed in different positions to reinforce the lighting effects.

    Terre Brute ( from the French \'raw clay\') is a project created in 2021 by Anastasia Gladkova, a ceramic artists from Paris. Anastasia graduated with a Master\'s in Fine Arts at L’école supérieure d\'arts et médias de Caen, France, in 2017. \"Through Terre Brute, I embrace the fluidity and organic forms found in nature, exploring the harmonious fusion of abstract art and biomorphism. As an artist working mostly with stoneware clay, I am inspired by the inherent qualities of the material I work with. I express movement, as if my sculptures were frozen in a moment of transformation. I like to think of them as physical souvenirs of an evolving landscape ; hills rolling under the wind, ocean waves flowing in a rhythmic pattern, rocks weathering in a riverbed.\" Anastasia Gladkova
