    The Tattooed Tableware ceramic collection by ccontinua+mamt is handmade on the pottery wheel by Chiara and decorated by Francesco with special underglaze pencils, exploring how to convert the art of hand-poke tattooing onto clay.
    The drawings trigger the imagination of the person eating from the dish, drinking from the cup: the food slowly leaves space to a secret message an inscription, triggering memories, imagination.
    The intention of the collection is to give shape to new narratives and domestic rituals, recounting stories on household tableware through a dreamy and primal imaginary.
    These contemporary ‘tribal acts’ are distinguished by their dreamlike language, which gracefully merges imagery and words, blending raw marks from delicate souls.

    ccontinua+mamt is the result of the collaboration between Chiara Caselli and Francesco Carrasso, an Italian creative duo based in Amsterdam. With a complementary and multidisciplinary approach, they develop projects in various fields, from painting and tattoos to ceramics and textiles. The inspiration for their ceramics works comes from Chiara’s profound passion for working with clay and porcelain, blended with Francesco\'s artistic and figurative intervention, giving birth to their \"tattooed ceramics\". With them, they intent to explore on clay the art of hand-poke tattooing, a technique that has been an integral part of Mamt artistic journey for years. The materials they choose to work with serve as a medium for expressing a narrative rooted in the poetry of a dreamlike imagination conveyed through primitive and folkloristic storytelling. Moving beyond the boundaries that separate art and design, they explore the contemporary worldas a reflection of social patterns, needs, and aesthetic values. The outcomes consist of mystical spaces and decorated objects that, akin to amulets, elicit emotions and memories in the viewer, while also fostering connections between individuals and their surroundings.
